IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE UNCOMFORTABLE AND HEAVY TO BE EFFECTIVE

There are many jobs that require the wearer to be protected from head to toe from inside to outside against:

  • fire
  • heat
  • electric arc
  • molten metal
  • flash fire

PyroTex® classic does all of the above and more. Because of its moisture absorption (12%) it will help the wearer to perform their duties without the risk of heat stroke or heat stress.

Base Layer

The first protective layer, directly on the skin needs to be:

  • flame resistant → PyroTex® classic has an LOI of 43%
  • heat resistant → PyroTex® classic has a very high insulation value PLUS no melt/no drip
  • non-irritating to the skin → PyroTex® classic is class 1 according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100
  • comfortable → PyroTex® classic has a moisture absorption of 12%
  • anti-bacterial
  • EN ISO 15025 → pass

Nobody will think twice about wearing it.

PyroTex® classic has an extremely low thermal conductivity (the so called k-value) which is key to be an effective insulation material.

It protects in 2 ways:

  1. against high temperatures because it has the ability to block it
  2. against low temperatures because it keeps the body warmth inside

The outer shell of protective clothing is the first barrier for heat and fire and should ideally protect the wearer 100%. Because of PyroTex® classic inherent properties it does exactly that and more:

  • shows good strength under dry and wet conditions
  • dyeable (spundyed and fiberdyed)
  • sheds off molten metal (rated D3 according to EN ISO 11612)

Immaculately dressed, having an aura of expertise and giving everybody the feeling to be safe. That is how we like to see the men and women in airline, police and military uniforms.

To live up to these standards the garment needs to protect but at the same time be comfortable for the wearer in order to be effective at their duties.

PyroTex® classic can deliver all of that:

  • it has a moisture regain of 12% (higher than cotton)
  • it was awarded class 1 according to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100
  • it is flame and heat resistant without any additional finishing
  • it is anti-bacterial
